Ah, the Virtual Romance. One of mankind’s most anticipated possibilities of the future is eventually rapping at the door to the brink of worldly realization (big words I know, but bear with me here).

While we aren’t quite at the point – yet – where human to human interaction can have at least one half of that equation satisfyingly replaced by a computer simulation, we’re getting close; and though the connotations of that statement are a little chilling, the fact that technology and biology are being inseparably mixed adds itself to the notion that it is just a matter of time before we will all be charged with the task of opening up our minds, hearts, and body parts to the quickly-approaching theory of artificial intelligence interacting with our species in an intimate fashion.

In Other Words?

Shortly we’ll be able to date computer programs and have sex with robots. In lieu of recent progress in AI and VR (so how about that vive?), it appears it is a specified that it will not be long before our digital fantasies are brought to realization. Truly, there is already a firm or two working on making it happen; and given that we have already learned many different opinions on why that might be a negative thing, we bring to you some notions in favor of the higher points such technology actively infringing our lives (and our private-parts) may bring. While it’s a chance that at some point even our future virtual companies might finally incorporate whining and griping to their repertoire of realistic simulated.
